Assistant Criminal Justice Liaison

Job overview

The Assistant Criminal Justice Liaison role is onsite in Saint Petersburg, FL. Compensation is $18–$20 per hour. The role supports WestCare's work with people affected by chronic substance use and, in some cases, mental illness. The assistant backs up the Criminal Justice Liaison by coordinating referrals and communications with courts, jails, public defenders, corrections agencies, clients, and counselors. The role also completes screening and admission documentation, helps clients address legal and custody needs, and connects people with recovery-focused community resources.

What you'll do

• Support referral processing and placement coordination
• track and store documentation
• communicate about court hearings and facilitate client attendance
• coordinate reports with counselors
• assist clients with legal and child custody needs
• complete admission documentation and screenings
• maintain community resource and transitional housing networks
• prepare monthly referral and waitlist reports
• represent WestCare at hearings as needed.
