What you'll do

• Purchase products and maintain appropriate product mix and stock levels
• negotiate supplier prices, terms, quality, and delivery
• reconcile supplier credits
• monitor product dates, shrink, budgets, sales, and margins
• update product and price information in the point-of-sale system
• plan displays and promotional calendars
• oversee receiving, stocking, department procedures, and staff training
• participate in inventory counts.
