Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant role is onsite in Goodyear, AZ. Compensation is not specified. The position supports physicians and advanced practice providers in delivering patient care and a positive patient experience. The assistant performs clinical and administrative work under the direction of the Center Administrator or Practice Supervisor. The role helps keep patient visits, clinical procedures, laboratory services, and clinic operations organized and responsive.

What you'll do

• Interview patients and document medical histories
• assess vital signs and collect specimens
• assist with examinations, pulmonary function tests, EKGs, venipuncture, vaccinations, wound care, and other listed procedures
• provide laboratory services and quality control
• prepare and administer medications and injections as directed
• prepare patients for examinations
• sterilize instruments and maintain treatment areas
• enter patient information in the EMR
• coordinate admissions and laboratory services when needed
• triage patients
• stock supplies and prepare exam rooms
• provide front-office support as needed.

Why this role

Spanish bilingual ability is preferred. CPR certification is required or must be completed within the first 60 days; federal breath alcohol and drug screening certifications are required within three months.
