Job overview

The Business Development role is onsite in Southbridge, MA, with local travel to regional offices and travel as needed. Compensation is not specified. The role develops new business for MEI Industrial Solution services and Accurate metals and fabrication. The position builds customer relationships and generates leads so estimators can quote work, while also estimating and managing selected projects. It supports sales growth and project delivery through coordinated follow-up with customers, sales, estimating, operations, and field teams.

What you'll do

• Contact and manage leads and prospect lists
• follow up and develop new leads
• collaborate with marketing and national sales to optimize leads
• build relationships with new and existing customers
• coordinate with estimating, field crews, and operations
• assist with job walks and customer bids or estimates
• re-engage inactive customers
• gather customer feedback through post-job surveys
• maintain customer and sales records and weekly sales reporting
• participate in sales meetings and represent team capabilities at trade shows and expos
• travel locally to regional offices and as needed.
