What you'll do

• Sort and presoak soiled laundry
• weigh and load washers and select appropriate cycles, temperatures, and chemicals
• transfer washed linens to dryers and select settings by linen type
• fold and store clean laundry or distribute it to linen carts
• press and fold residents’ personal laundry and deliver it to rooms
• follow infection-control procedures for isolation linens
• wash drapes and privacy curtains as scheduled
• escort soiled linen carts to the holding area
• clean the laundry department and equipment
• use and store supplies safely
• maintain confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines and uphold patient rights.
