The Wood Shop role supports Wells’ production of structural and architectural panels and other quality structures for communities. The worker cuts and shapes materials and fabricates blank-out material for panels. The role contributes to production by preparing wood components and forms, operating shop tools safely, and maintaining housekeeping and safety standards.

What you'll do

• Read and understand pour sheets
• cut insulation, blank-out material, and nailers
• operate saws and pneumatic nail guns safely
• cut and assemble wood components for forms and bulkheads
• seal forms and create blanks or notches when required
• prepare materials and beds
• assist with special form build-ups
• transport forms for painting or varnishing
• use forklifts to move materials
• follow the safety program and maintain housekeeping standards.
