The speech-language pathologist evaluates patients and develops treatment plans for an outpatient caseload that may include aphasia, dysphagia, pediatric and school-age needs, voice, cognitive communication disorders, and augmentative and alternative communication. The role provides care consistent with physician plans and professional standards and supports families and caregivers with therapy techniques.

What you'll do

• Evaluate patients’ need for speech therapy and develop treatment plans
• provide care based on physician care plans, agency policy, and professional standards
• instruct family members, home health aides, and other caregivers in speech therapy techniques and home exercise programs. Requires New York speech-language pathology licensure or eligibility, CCC-SLP, and First Aid, AED, and CPR certifications.
