What you'll do

• Perform routine and specialized clinical laboratory testing
• receive, identify, prepare, process, and analyze patient specimens
• operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instruments
• review, validate, and report results
• recognize abnormal, critical, or questionable results and follow verification and notification procedures
• perform quality control and proficiency testing
• maintain records
• follow infection-control and safety procedures
• maintain regulatory and accreditation compliance
• manage supplies
• assist with training as appropriate
• communicate with laboratory and clinical professionals.
