Warehouse Assistant — Moving and Storage

The Warehouse Assistant role is onsite in North Salt Lake, UT. Compensation is $19–$21 per hour. The position supports Bailey’s moving-related storage, delivery, and transportation operations by handling customer belongings and warehouse inventory. The assistant receives, organizes, documents, and stages goods while helping movers and drivers prepare shipments. Careful handling, accurate inventory records, and safe warehouse practices support reliable service and protect customer property.

What you'll do

• Receive, inspect, and organize customer inventory, furniture, household goods, and packing supplies
• load and unload moving trucks
• prepare, label, wrap, and stage items
• maintain inventory records and conduct counts and audits
• handle belongings carefully
• organize and clean warehouse and storage areas
• assist movers and drivers with equipment and shipments
• operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, dollies, and forklifts if certified
• follow safety policies and OSHA guidelines
• report damage and safety concerns
• assist with packing and other moving services.

Why this role

High school diploma or equivalent and previous warehouse, moving, logistics, or inventory experience are preferred. Forklift certification is a plus but not required; the role requires regular lifting up to 75 pounds and flexible hours, including weekends and overtime.
