Architect, Advanced Technology Facilities is an onsite role in Cambridge, MA, with a hybrid work-from-home policy. The approximate pay range is $85,000–$130,000 per year. SMMA is an integrated design firm whose multidisciplinary teams deliver architecture and engineering solutions across several markets. The architect supports planning, design, and delivery of complex facilities such as data centers, semiconductor and research environments, and mission-critical buildings. The role coordinates building systems and technical documentation with clients, consultants, contractors, and engineering disciplines to meet operational, regulatory, sustainability, and design goals.

What you'll do

• Support advanced technology projects from programming through construction administration
• coordinate with internal and external engineering and sustainability teams
• develop architectural details and building-system integration
• prepare market-specific specifications
• lead preparation and quality review of construction documents and technical studies
• ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements
• coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, process, fire protection, and specialty engineering disciplines.
