The Youth Mentor — BAGS Foundation role is onsite in Waterbury, CT, at the BAGS Foundation location on Wolcott Street. Pay is $18–$23 per hour. The role supports the BAGS Foundation mentoring program and works under its Mentoring Support Manager. The mentor provides consistent guidance and encouragement to children and adolescents ages 6–18, supporting positive development, social-emotional growth, academic engagement, and life skills. The role includes one-on-one sessions, community activities, communication with families and school or community contacts, progress documentation, and required training and check-ins.

What you'll do

• Provide individualized mentoring sessions
• plan and lead age-appropriate community activities and outings
• communicate with mentees’ families and designated school or community contacts
• submit weekly progress notes, activity logs, and timesheets
• attend the match introduction meeting, onboarding, mentor training, and periodic check-ins
• represent the BAGS Foundation in community and school interactions.
