What you'll do

• Supervise and develop Buyers
• establish priorities and accountability
• develop material-planning processes aligned with production requirements and anticipated demand
• improve visibility into material requirements, lead times, open orders, and shortages
• promote consistent ERP/MRP use
• establish planning parameters
• coordinate requirements across Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Operations
• track and escalate shortages
• work with the Inventory Manager on accuracy, availability, and excess inventory
• monitor supplier delivery performance
• report material availability, shortages, inventory, and supplier risks
• escalate significant supplier, capacity, and cost issues to the Senior Director.
