What you'll do

• Oversee resident care, assessments, and care plans
• develop nursing service objectives, policies, and procedures
• coordinate and supervise nursing and care staff
• provide nursing coverage when needed
• assess residents and prospective residents for appropriate care levels
• oversee medication processes and pharmacy relationships
• attend interdisciplinary care meetings and maintain documentation
• interview, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate care staff
• meet with residents and families about service plans
• communicate with surveyors and assist with corrective plans
• maintain infection control procedures and regulatory compliance
• manage nursing supplies and department scheduling.
