The Manager, Regulatory & Technical Affairs is a full-time onsite role in Arlington, VA, with a salary range of $85,000–$95,000 per year. The Consumer Brands Association supports the consumer packaged goods industry through regulatory and technical affairs work and member engagement. The manager monitors regulatory developments, supports research and responses on state and federal actions, and prepares technical information for members. The role contributes to the association’s policy and advocacy work, particularly on food safety and related technical issues.

What you'll do

• Monitor and assess federal and state legislation, regulations, policies, and issues affecting the consumer packaged goods industry
• support research and engagement with agencies and members, particularly on microbiology topics
• monitor agency communications and meetings and summarize takeaways
• support regulatory advocacy tools and educational opportunities
• represent the association at industry meetings
• gather member insights
• develop and distribute updates, research summaries, technical briefs, and educational materials
• track food safety developments
• assist with written and oral responses
• serve as a technical specialist on food safety issues.
