What you'll do

• Schedule service appointments and gather customer and vehicle information
• greet customers and document vehicle concerns on repair orders
• test-drive vehicles with customers as needed or refer to a test technician
• review service history and inspect vehicles
• recommend needed service and explain vehicle care
• provide written cost estimates
• establish promised times and payment methods
• notify dispatch of incoming work
• update customers on repair progress, changes, costs, and timing
• obtain authorization for additional repairs
• review and close completed repair orders.
