Group Exercise Instructor – Core Strength

Job overview

The Group Exercise Instructor – Core Strength role is onsite in Brighton, MA, with part-time hours. Pay is $30–$40 per hour. The instructor reports to the Health and Wellness Director and supports YMCA members through group exercise and healthy-habit development. The instructor leads safe, inclusive classes, adapts movements for participants’ needs, and builds connections among members. Accurate attendance records and responsive instruction support positive member experiences and wellness goals.

What you'll do

• Lead safe, engaging, and educational group classes
• answer participant questions
• maintain wellness knowledge through training
• build relationships and community
• adapt instruction to participants’ abilities, health, and culture
• recognize participant achievements
• record attendance in the group exercise management software
• follow YMCA policies and respond to emergencies
• address member issues professionally.
