Indirect Tax Manager

The position partners with Treasury, Accounting, Accounts Payable, and external advisers while improving the accuracy and efficiency of tax processes.

What you'll do

• Oversee U.S. sales and use tax and property tax compliance, reporting, and forecasting
• prepare annual property tax filings for the railcar fleet and project tax expense
• prepare or review monthly Canadian GST/HST filings
• support U.S. and Canadian audit requests
• review railcar fixed-asset reconciliations
• research indirect tax laws
• maintain the ONESOURCE Indirect Tax engine
• process monthly tax payments and coordinate funding with Treasury
• analyze vendor data and exemption certificates
• coordinate audit documentation and refund claims
• identify process and control improvements.
