Vice President of Youth Development and Childcare

Job overview

The Vice President of Youth Development and Childcare role is onsite in Grand Rapids, MI, with compensation of $120,000–$140,000 per year. The role reports to the COO and leads youth development and childcare programs at the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids, a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening its community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The vice president provides strategic and operational leadership for childcare and youth programs, aligning program growth, fiscal management, staff development, partnerships, and compliance with the YMCA’s goals. The role builds relationships with school districts, funders, and community partners to expand program reach and sustainability.

What you'll do

• Oversee licensed and grant-funded childcare programs
• develop and monitor budgets
• implement department vision and strategic goals
• drive program expansion, enrollment, recruitment, retention, pricing, and new-site development
• build relationships with school districts, funders, and community partners
• recruit, develop, coach, and retain staff
• ensure consistent program quality and curriculum development
• maintain regulatory, licensing, grant, and YMCA standards
• collaborate on marketing and communications
• work with branches and departments to meet program goals.
