They also assist and lead in the process of new employee orientation and provide input into the interviewing, hiring, and selection process of new hires.
What you'll do
- Assists with planning, coordination and supervision of the Respiratory technical staff during the scheduled shift.
- Responsible for ensuring minimal staffing for shift coverage and works to increase staffing when patient volumes increase.
- Assists and leads in the process of new employee orientation and provides input into the interviewing, hiring and selection process of new hires.
- In addition to performing the task of a staff Respiratory Therapist.
- Team lead will be trained to perform Pulmonary Function Testing and/or Electroencephalograms (EEG).
- Participates in appraisal process of staff with Director.
- Develops monthly work schedule for technical staff.
- Monitors Facility Scheduler on a regular basis to maximize/minimize staffing to meet patient care needs.
- Shares responsibility for logging payroll hours into the KRONOS system.
- Shares responsibility for ordering departmental operation supplies and assists with inventory control.
- Assists with departmental PI projects.
- Assist Director of Cardiopulmonary with management of Blood Gas Laboratory.
- Performs monthly quality controls (QCs).
- Participates with Shared Governance and acts as the department DESSO.
