The Advanced Specialty Registered Nurse – Medical Forensic role is an onsite position in Hillsboro, OR. Compensation is $47.31–$73.44 per hour. The forensic nurse examiner provides timely, compassionate care to patients seeking medical-forensic exams. The nurse completes exams, provides pregnancy and sexually transmitted infection prophylaxis, documents findings photographically, arranges appropriate medical and psychological follow-up, and collaborates with community partners when applicable.

What you'll do

• Complete medical-forensic exams

• document findings photographically
• refer patients for appropriate medical and psychological follow-up
• collaborate with advocacy agencies, law enforcement, prosecutors, and child and vulnerable adult protection agencies where applicable.

Why this role

Requires an accredited nursing program, 40-hour IAFN or OR SATF SANE-A course, Oregon RN license, BLS, and two years of nursing experience. SANE-A or SANE-OR certification is preferred.
