The Grill Cook role is an onsite, part-time position at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas, scheduled Monday–Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Pay is $13–$15 per hour. Chartwells Higher Ed provides food service for the university campus. The cook prepares and serves food at the grill station according to recipes, portion standards, and food-safety requirements. The role supports efficient, friendly service and maintains clean, safe work areas for campus customers.

What you'll do

• Take customer orders and prepare grill items
• complete orders from steam tables and serve customers
• follow service standards and ensure food quality and temperature
• use approved recipes and portion controls
• store and rotate food safely
• clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
• address customer concerns and report issues
• attend safety meetings.
