Telecommunications Engineering Technician

The Telecommunications Engineering Technician role is an onsite position based in Accokeek, MD, supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Central Service Area. The role offers a salary range of $73,450 to $132,775 per year and supports the National Airspace Systems Integration Support (NISC) program. This role exists to support the daily operations of the Brand-New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS). The technician will contribute to the team by drafting site survey reports, coordinating project schedules, and developing transition plans to modernize critical aviation infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Review FAA databases and draft Site Survey Reports (SSR).
• Coordinate schedules with SSC, ES, and vendor personnel.
• Draft Project Risk Plans (PRP) and Operational Risk Management Plans (ORMP).
• Generate and update drawings, sketches, and artifacts.
• Develop transition plans and resolve schedule conflicts.
• Support District POC and SSCs with day-to-day work activities.
