Assistant Manager

The Assistant Manager role is onsite in Stockton, CA, with compensation of $22–$23 per hour. The position supports Jack in the Box restaurant operations at a location owned and operated by an independent franchisee. The assistant manager helps the Restaurant Manager run daily operations, develop employees, deliver consistent guest service and food quality, and improve restaurant sales and profitability while meeting company and regulatory requirements.

What you'll do

• Manage restaurant operations with or in the absence of the Restaurant Manager
• recruit, train, develop, and evaluate employees
• maintain staffing and workstation training
• support guest service, food quality, food safety, and restaurant cleanliness
• respond to guest concerns
• review operational and financial performance
• develop action plans to improve sales and profitability
• monitor costs and budgets
• and comply with labor laws and company procedures.

Why this role

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred. Internal candidates need at least one year as a Shift Leader or Assistant Manager and workstation certification; external candidates need at least three years as an Assistant Manager with some P&L responsibility. ServSafe certification and a valid driver's license, insurance, and personal vehicle are required.
