Lathe Programmer / Machinist

The Lathe Programmer / Machinist role is onsite in Jessup, MD. Pay is $45–$60 per hour. The position is part of the machine shop and supports prototype and job-shop machining work. What you'll do

• Use MasterCAM and DNC systems for programming and machining
• help plan, estimate, and report on projects
• evaluate tooling
• independently set up, program, operate, and troubleshoot CNC lathes
• determine stock requirements
• create setup sheets
• improve setup and machining times
• inspect work with measurement tools
• validate programs through simulations, dry runs, and prove-outs
• monitor cycle times and ERP metrics
• record job progress
• follow quality procedures
• advise engineering on workholding solutions.
