Field Service Technician, FSR3

Job overview

The Field Service Technician, FSR3 role is onsite in Hackettstown, NJ, with frequent travel to customer sites and company locations across the country. The annual salary range is $90,000–$140,000. The technician supports JDC Power Systems customers’ field operations and power system reliability. The role troubleshoots, maintains, repairs, starts up, and commissions electrical systems and industrial controls at customer sites. It also provides customer guidance, documents service work, and follows safety requirements to help minimize downtime and keep systems operating to customer specifications.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair transformers, circuit breakers, low- and medium-voltage switchgear, and PLC controls
• diagnose system issues
• support startups and commissioning
• serve as customer contact during service visits
• provide basic system-operation and maintenance training
• document service activities and test reports
• track time, work, and inventory
• collaborate with technicians
• follow company, OSHA, and industry safety requirements.
