What you'll do

• Review plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, and bid documents
• perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis
• estimate labor, equipment, materials, trucking, subcontractors, and self-performed work
• develop bid strategies and identify risks and opportunities
• solicit and level subcontractor and supplier quotes
• coordinate with ownership and project management
• prepare proposals and supporting documents
• participate in site visits and pre-bid meetings when necessary
• improve estimating systems and cost databases
• support project handoff and occasional operational planning.
