The Caregiver / Direct Support Staff – Santa Clara County role is part-time and onsite in San Jose, CA, with one-to-one services in clients’ homes and communities. Pay is $21 per hour. Feel At Home Support Services supports adults with developmental disabilities to live independently, participate in their communities, and thrive in environments of their choice. The role assists participants with individual goals, daily living skills, transportation, community integration, self-advocacy, appointments, and resources. It also involves documenting services, communicating with supervisors and families, and following safety, abuse-prevention, and participant-rights protocols.

What you'll do

• Build respectful relationships with participants and their support circles
• provide individualized instruction in daily living skills, transportation, community integration, self-advocacy, and social skills
• assist with appointments, benefits, and resources
• document shifts and incidents
• communicate with supervisors, Regional Center staff, and families
• follow safety and participant-rights protocols
• provide CPR/first aid or seek emergency help when needed.

Why this role
