What you'll do

• Maintain accurate front desk cash drawers, room sales, and folio transactions
• greet, register, and assign rooms to guests
• issue room keys and instructions
• transmit telephone messages and answer inquiries
• maintain room availability and guest account records
• compute bills, collect payments, and make change
• make and confirm reservations
• post room and sundry charges
• arrange restaurant, transportation, entertainment, and tour reservations
• safeguard guest valuables
• restock and organize the work area
• review room status, income, and expenditures
• prepare computer-generated reports
• verify ledger entries and transmit daily credit card batches.
