The Residential Direct Support Professional works onsite in East Harlem, New York, with shifts of 9:00 AM–3:00 PM, 3:00 PM–9:00 PM, or 9:00 AM–9:00 PM; weekend availability is requested. Compensation is $19.44 per hour. Job Path supports autistic people and people with developmental disabilities in pursuing their goals and participating in their communities. The DSP supports residents in their homes and community activities while encouraging independence, choice, and skill development. The role assists with daily living, health and personal care, documentation, and communication so people can maintain safe homes and lead active lives.

What you'll do

• Model and coach personal skill development
• support community activities and relationships
• encourage individual choices and decisions
• assist with household, community, and personal responsibilities
• support social interactions
• administer medication and attend to personal care needs
• accompany individuals to appointments
• document shift information, incidents, and spending
• assist with meal preparation
• communicate with team members and cover assigned shifts as arranged.
