Line Cook — Fine Dining

The Line Cook — Fine Dining role is onsite in Latham, NY, with compensation of $22–$25 per hour based on experience. The cook supports Scarlet Knife’s restaurant operation and its guest dining experience. The role prepares and plates food using high-quality ingredients while maintaining food safety, quality, and kitchen standards. It also supports smooth service by keeping line stations stocked and coordinating with fellow employees.

What you'll do

• Cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups, and other hot food
• prepare and portion ingredients
• plate and garnish dishes
• inspect and clean food preparation areas and equipment
• regulate cooking temperatures
• check ingredient quality and rotate, label, and date stored food
• follow portion sizes, recipes, quality standards, and kitchen procedures
• stock line stations
• assist with food preparation during off-peak periods and other cooks during rushes
• close kitchen stations and coordinate with coworkers.
