Information Systems Security Engineer (RMF)

Job overview

The Information Systems Security Engineer (RMF) role is full-time onsite in Newport, RI; the annual salary range is $60,000–$70,000. Saalex supports the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, and this position supports its enterprise and research, development, test, and evaluation systems and networks. The engineer supports Assessment and Authorization activities and helps maintain system Authorizations to Operate. The work includes cybersecurity assessments, continuous monitoring, risk documentation, compliance support, and coordination with government and contractor stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Support Assessment and Authorization activities and maintain ATOs under DoD and Navy RMF requirements
• support cybersecurity compliance, assessments, and continuous monitoring
• develop and maintain RMF documentation
• assess security controls against applicable NIST and Navy guidance
• review security test reports and support risk mitigation
• use eMASS, ACAS, STIG Viewer, and STIG OSS Manager
• provide RMF guidance and support training
• coordinate stakeholder meetings and action items.
