Tool and Die Technician

The Tool and Die Technician role is onsite in Vernon Hills, IL, with pay starting at $26–$35 per hour plus bonus potential and annual pay increases. Precision Resource manufactures high-volume metal parts for automotive, aerospace, hardware, and other industries. The role maintains production tooling to support on-time customer delivery. Through tool analysis, repair, spare-component manufacture, maintenance records, and preventive maintenance planning, the technician helps meet quality and productivity expectations.

What you'll do

• Analyze and repair tools used on conventional presses and other production machines
• manufacture spare components and maintain dies to established standards
• record maintenance by part and job number
• develop preventive and predictive maintenance schedules based on tool performance
• review last-piece inspection records and make improvements
• maintain documentation and records
• operate manual and CNC machine tools and equipment as needed.
