Heavy Machine Operator – Mining Vehicles

The Heavy Machine Operator role is onsite in Safford, AZ, with initial training potentially held in Sunol, CA for one week. Pay is $32 per hour. The position supports the safe operation, testing, and performance readiness of large-scale mining vehicles in an autonomous vehicle technology environment. The operator runs and inspects heavy vehicles, supports hardware and software testing, and communicates performance feedback to engineering and test teams. The work contributes to vehicle readiness, safety, and system reliability; travel of up to 50% is required for field operations and testing.

What you'll do

• Safely operate and maneuver 20-ton mining vehicles and other heavy equipment
• perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete DVIRs
• support hardware and software testing
• report equipment issues
• provide written and verbal feedback to engineering and test teams
• follow safety and compliance standards
• travel up to 50% for field operations and testing.
