The Senior Security Engineer — Splunk role follows a hybrid model with three days per week onsite near National Harbor, MD; UltraViolet Cyber’s Federal Delivery team provides security operations solutions for federal government environments and critical infrastructure. The engineer designs, implements, and optimizes Splunk deployments for threat detection, security analytics, and compliance monitoring. The role strengthens security monitoring and response by improving data pipelines, integrations, platform performance, and operational reliability.
What you'll do
- Design, implement, and maintain Splunk deployments
- document infrastructure architecture and develop an engineering roadmap
- optimize searches, dashboards, and alerts
- manage clustering and forwarder deployment
- lead deployment and configuration projects
- troubleshoot complex platform issues and conduct root-cause analysis
- tune performance and plan capacity
- integrate security tools and data sources
- optimize Cribl-to-Splunk data pipelines
- support Splunk engineers and cross-functional teams.
