The Associate Attorney - Civil Litigation role is an onsite, full-time position in Albuquerque, NM. Base salary is $110,000–$170,000+ per year, depending on experience and qualifications; competitive performance-based compensation is also described. The attorney will join the hiring organization’s civil litigation practice, with HRforGrowth serving as the search partner rather than the employer. The role manages civil litigation matters from initial assessment through resolution, developing case strategy, preparing legal documents, handling discovery and depositions, and communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and courts. It contributes to effective case outcomes through independent caseload management, collaboration with colleagues, and support for trial preparation and proceedings when required.

What you'll do

• Manage civil litigation matters from initial assessment through resolution
• develop litigation strategies
• draft and file motions, briefs, pleadings, discovery responses, and other legal documents
• conduct legal research
• prepare for, conduct, and defend depositions
• communicate with clients and manage expectations
• work with opposing counsel, courts, and experts
• manage caseloads, records, deadlines, and calendars
• support trial preparation and participate in proceedings when required
• use technology and emerging AI-driven legal tools to improve workflow.
