CEQA Project Manager

The CEQA Project Manager role is onsite in Oakland, CA, with flexible work arrangements described by the employer. Pay is $98,000–$130,000 per year. The role supports Terraphase Engineering’s CEQA/NEPA/Tribal Planning team on environmental review and planning projects across California and, for tribal projects, nationally. The project manager leads environmental review, coordinates technical teams, and manages project delivery and client relationships. The work supports project goals through regulatory analysis, permitting strategies, and mitigation planning.

What you'll do

• Lead or oversee preparation of CEQA documents, including categorical exemptions, initial studies/mitigated negative declarations, and environmental impact reports
• coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams
• manage scopes, schedules, budgets, and contract requirements
• work with clients, agencies, and legal counsel on entitlements and permitting
• present at hearings and workshops
• develop client relationships and proposals
• mentor staff.
