The Medical Assistant is an onsite, full-time role based in Richmond, IN. Compensation is $15.36 per hour. This role supports the clinical team at Well Care Community Health, Inc. The role exists to provide appropriate health care and instructions to patients and clinical support to providers. It contributes to the team's goals by assisting with lab tests, monitoring vitals, and maintaining exam rooms.

What you'll do

• Perform tasks associated with walk-in patients to include CLIA waived lab tests, weight checks, patient instructions, TB testing, monitor and record vital signs, prepare exam rooms with appropriate equipment and supplies, and provides lab results to Physicians.
• Prepares and dispenses medications and administers injections ordered by the Physician.
• Provides instruction to patients on treatment and medication procedures and completes medical forms.
• Phones patients with lab test results and answers questions within the scope of their practice.
• Logs statistical data for Influenza-like illnesses, Screenings, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment forms, autoclave usage, Pre-Conception Risk Assessments, room cleaning, care of exam room equipment, and evening shutdown of the Medication Room.
