Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney

The Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney role is onsite in Charlotte, NC, with compensation starting at $310,000 per year, depending on class year and experience. The position supports the firm’s Real Estate department and its nationally recognized real estate practice. The attorney will support commercial real estate finance transactions by drafting and negotiating loan documents, conducting due diligence, structuring loans for securitization, and coordinating closings. The role also advises clients on legal and structural issues affecting securitization eligibility and marketability.

What you'll do

• Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements, notes, mortgages or deeds of trust, guarantees, and related documents
• conduct and oversee due diligence
• structure transactions to meet CMBS securitization requirements
• coordinate with originators, underwriters, securitization counsel, clients, borrower’s counsel, and service providers
• advise on securitization eligibility and marketability
• coordinate closings and timelines
• support post-closing matters and loan reviews.
