Lumber Plant Team Member

Job overview

The Lumber Plant Team Member works onsite in Ringgold, GA. Pay is $19–$20 per hour. The role supports Ringgold Wood Preserving, a lumber treating plant owned by United Treating & Distribution, a supplier of treated and untreated lumber and specialty building products. The team member operates equipment, handles lumber and inventory, and supports treating plant and shipping operations. The work helps the four-person team meet daily production goals while maintaining safe, accurate material handling and shipment processes.

What you'll do

• Identify, tag, pull, package, and bundle lumber and other items
• repackage lumber
• complete paperwork and basic computer tasks
• operate forklifts to move materials and load or unload trailers
• check inbound and outbound loads for accuracy and safety
• maintain shipping and receiving records
• move and inspect trailers as required
• attend pre-shift meetings
• follow company, OSHA, DOT, and product safety standards
• report maintenance and safety concerns
• keep work areas clean and organized.

Why this role

Generally scheduled Monday through Friday, 5:45 a.m. to 5 p.m.; schedules may include some Saturdays and range from 40 to 60 hours per week. Occasional travel to Muscle Shoals for training and company events is required.
