What you'll do

• Use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans. Prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians' orders
• Administer and record dosages as well. Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic film. Position patients and adjust immobilization devices. Compassionately explain procedures to patients and address concerns. Demonstrate competency in the following: Biliary, Brain Spect, Bone Scan, Cardiac, Cistern gram, Colonic Bleed, Prostasin, Gallium, Gastric Emptying, GI Bleed, Indium Scan, Liver, MIBG, Octreo scan. Monitor, record and communicate utilizing computerized documentation (MEDITECH). Assist with transporting patients as needed.

What we're looking for

Education

High School Graduate or GED

Experience

High School Graduate or GED. Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine Technologist program (AMA-Approved School). Current/Active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT). Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred. Current registry: NMTCB or ARRT (N). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Knowledge of GAMMA cameras. Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
