The Production Lead, Electronics, 1st and 2nd Shift role is onsite in Sun Prairie, WI. Compensation is not specified. The lead heads the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) departments, with a first-shift schedule of Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., or a second-shift schedule of Monday–Thursday, 4:15 p.m.–2:45 a.m. The lead coordinates people, equipment, quality, and production activity so the SMT area can meet department goals and scheduled demand safely and efficiently. The role coaches employees, addresses production issues, and supports continuous improvement.

What you'll do

• Coach and develop team members
• assign and oversee daily SMT work
• review and disposition nonconforming products
• drive continuous improvement
• follow assembly documentation and requirements
• coordinate production resources and layouts
• troubleshoot machine and quality problems
• ensure equipment maintenance is completed and documented
• provide production feedback
• oversee training and changeovers
• maintain area budget
• ensure time is logged in the ERP system.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 3–5 years of SMT experience, ability to solder surface-mount components to IPC standards, and knowledge of electronic components and equipment. Overtime may be needed with management approval.
