What you'll do

• Review menus before food preparation
• prepare meals according to planned menus and authorized substitutions
• prepare and serve appetizing meals and therapeutic diets
• follow portion-control procedures
• inspect special-diet trays for accuracy
• assist with production lines and tray service
• coordinate dietary service with other departments
• explain department policies and procedures as appropriate.
