School Psychologist

The School Psychologist role is onsite at High Tech High International - Point Loma in Loma, CA. Compensation is $57.78–$82.58 per hour. The position supports the school’s inclusive, project-based learning environment. The psychologist evaluates students’ learning, developmental, and psychosocial functioning and uses assessment findings to help teaching and special education teams select appropriate supports. Through assessment, counseling, consultation, and school-wide practices, the role contributes to students’ academic, social-emotional, behavioral, and mental health outcomes.

What you'll do

• Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results at IEP meetings
• prepare written assessment reports
• consult with parents, teachers, and special education teams
• recommend and evaluate interventions and instructional supports
• provide individual and group counseling
• conduct risk and threat assessments and support crisis response
• develop functional behavior assessments and behavior intervention plans
• contribute to MTSS and school-wide social-emotional learning practices
• provide training
• track services for Medi-Cal billing.

Why this role

Requires a California Pupil Personnel Services School Psychology Credential or qualifying equivalent, a master’s degree or higher, and at least one year of credentialed school psychologist experience or qualifying internship experience.
