The Pharmacist (PRN) role is onsite in Savannah, GA. Compensation is not specified. The pharmacist joins J.C. Lewis Primary Health Care Center’s interdisciplinary clinical team, which serves medically underserved residents of the greater Savannah-Chatham County community. The role exists to support safe, effective, rational, and cost-conscious medication therapy for health center patients. It reviews prescriptions, dispenses medications, advises patients and clinicians, and maintains pharmacy procedures and records.

What you'll do

• Review prescriptions for accuracy, required ingredients, and suitability
• provide information about drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage
• assess medication identity, strength, and purity
• compound and dispense prescribed medications or oversee those activities
• maintain pharmacy files, patient profiles, inventory, and controlled-drug records
• implement and maintain procedures for mixing, packaging, labeling, quality, security, and proper disposal of pharmaceuticals.
