What you'll do

• Work daily insurance accounts-receivable aging reports in AdvancedMD
• investigate and resolve unpaid, underpaid, or denied orthopedic claims
• correct and resubmit claims with updated coding, modifiers, or documentation
• follow up with insurance carriers through portals, phone, or clearinghouse
• analyze denial trends and escalate recurring issues
• post adjustments and reconcile accounts
• prepare appeals for orthopedic procedures
• communicate with patients about claim status and balances as needed
• and maintain knowledge of orthopedic coding, payer policies, HIPAA, CMS, and workers’ compensation guidelines.
