Senior Medical Assistant – Internal Medicine

Job overview

The Senior Medical Assistant role is onsite in Kingwood, Houston, TX. Pay starts at $18 per hour, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The position supports an outpatient internal medicine clinic and its patient care operations. The medical assistant prepares patients and providers for visits, documents vital signs and patient information, manages incoming communications, and helps maintain efficient clinic flow. Accurate records, organized exam rooms, and clear communication with the healthcare team support care for approximately 15 patients per day.

What you'll do

• Room patients and prepare them for provider visits
• obtain and document vital signs and patient information
• manage patient messages, in-basket communications, and voicemails
• assist providers with clinical and administrative tasks
• communicate patient concerns to appropriate team members
• maintain patient documentation and electronic medical records
• keep exam rooms clean, organized, and stocked
• support patient flow and daily clinic operations for approximately 15 patients per day.

Why this role
