The advocate serves as an initial point of connection for families entering services, helping them understand the process, identify immediate needs, and connect with appropriate resources. The role coordinates with a multidisciplinary team to support families before, during, and after forensic interviews.

What you'll do

  • Provide trauma-informed advocacy, emotional support, crisis intervention, and needs assessment
  • build relationships with non-offending caregivers
  • explain services and next steps
  • prepare families for forensic interviews and provide support before, during, and after
  • connect families with programs and community resources
  • coordinate with medical providers, counselors, law enforcement, prosecutors, child welfare, and other partners
  • maintain timely, accurate, confidential records
  • follow up with families
  • participate in assigned on-call rotations and respond to new referrals.
