Social Worker – Youth and Family Mental Health

Job overview

The Social Worker – Youth and Family Mental Health role is onsite in Sarasota, FL, and pays $30 per hour. The position supports children and families served by Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties, whose mission is to create opportunities for young people and support their inclusion and independence. The social worker provides therapeutic and behavioral support that promotes children’s success at the Club, school, home, and in the community. Through counseling, groups, case management, crisis intervention, and collaboration with staff and public entities, the role connects families with appropriate care.

What you'll do

• Provide therapeutic and behavioral support to children and families
• deliver individual counseling and facilitate psycho-educational groups
• provide case management, consultation, crisis intervention, grief support, and community resources as needed
• collaborate with Club employees, school district employees, and other public entities to connect families with care.

Why this role

Part-time schedule, Monday–Friday, 2:00–6:00 p.m.; graduate master’s degree or equivalent required; must be at least 21 and pass background screening and drug testing.
