The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) role is onsite in Bastian, VA, with multiple shifts available in 12-hour shifts. The posting lists pay of $16–$18 per hour. The CNA supports residents at Bland County Nursing & Rehab Center in maintaining or attaining their highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. Working under the Charge Nurse’s supervision, the CNA provides individualized direct care, observes and reports changes in residents’ conditions, and protects residents’ comfort, privacy, and dignity. The role also supports a safe and clean environment and follows residents’ care plans and rights.

What you'll do

• Provide care according to individualized care plans
• assist residents with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, toileting, transfers, ambulation, and other needs
• report observations and changes to the Charge Nurse
• maintain residents’ comfort, privacy, and dignity
• protect residents’ rights and belongings
• support skin integrity through repositioning and related care
• answer call lights promptly
• help maintain a safe, neat, and clean environment.
