The Preschool Teacher role is onsite in Urbandale, IA, with pay of $15.40–$18.94 per hour. Schedules may vary based on enrollment, staffing ratios, or operational needs, and daily start and end times are not guaranteed. The teacher supports Cadence Education’s classroom programs and children’s learning and development. The role exists to help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom, support curriculum delivery, and respond to children’s individual developmental and behavioral needs. It also builds positive relationships with children and families while following safety and licensing requirements.

What you'll do

• Support a positive, inclusive classroom
• greet children and families
• assist in recognizing and responding to individual developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including following IEPs and behavioral plans as directed
• support the Lead Teacher with developmentally appropriate curriculum and signature programs
• communicate with families and coworkers using approved tools
• follow safety and supervision procedures
• document and report incidents
• assist with behavior documentation and escalation
• participate in required meetings, training, and professional development.

Why this role

Must meet state licensing qualifications and minimum state experience and education requirements. Associate or bachelor’s degree and CDA are preferred but not required when state requirements are met.
